Roxell EMT EMS Academy is seeking instructors for the EMT-Basic program who have the knowledge, passion, and commitment to ensure student’s success in the EMS field.
Duties:
Serve as lead instructor in Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Academy courses
Advance student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline and lesson plan. Assist in the development of new curriculum, changes, policies, and updates as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Two years of emergency medical services within the last five years
• Must be currently licensed in the state of Texas as an EMS Instructor with Two years of academic or clinical experience
• Completion of approved instructor certification or willingness to obtain prior to teaching
• Willingness to obtain a detailed working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and agencies governing medical education programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks as well as the ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a minimum of direction and supervision.
• Available to work daytime, holidays, and/or weekends
• Ability to work both independently, and in a team setting

Provides clerical office support to the EMS program by performing routine duties such as typing, filing, answering phones, and other office duties. In addition, various entry-level office duties typically include one or more of the following.
Qualifications
*Current AEMT or Paramedic License
*Two years experience as an AEMT or Paramedic.
*Strong EMT Skills
*Strong attention to detail and documentation as required by Texas DSHS.
Coordinate Skills and administer skills practice to students in EMT and AEMT programs.
Coordinate clinical and field internships for students and act as a liaison between students, faculty, and healthcare facility professionals and administrators.
Monitor student progress at the clinical/field internship sites.
Ensure site personnel understand the preceptor’s role in the students’ acquisition of knowledge and skills.
Collaborate with the EMS Program Coordinator and faculty to identify, select, and contract with clinical and field internship sites.
Review and update clinical manuals with the EMS Program Coordinator and faculty annually.
Assignments may include evenings and weekends as needed.

• Creating, retrieving, and filing records electronically.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications
Computer Software Skills required.
Two years of clerical assistant in the medical field preferred
Requires basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc., as might typically be acquired through attaining a high school diploma or GED.
A minimum of 2-years of office assistant experience is required.
